Who we are
Samui Food Guide is an independent restaurant discovery and promotional website focused on Koh Samui, Thailand. For privacy-related requests, contact support@samuifoodguide.com.
Information we process
We display restaurant business information, such as business names, cuisine, location, menus, publicly supplied contact details and approved promotional material. Business owners may ask us to review, correct or remove information. We also process administrator account credentials and business submissions, including the contact name, email, phone number, restaurant information and any notes supplied through our application form. Applications are stored privately for administrative review, and do not create public listings automatically.
Technical data and cookies
Our hosting provider may record customary server logs, such as IP address, browser details, requested pages and access times, to operate, troubleshoot and protect the website. We use essential session cookies for website and administrator features. We count views and clicks on sponsored promotions in aggregate; these counts are not presented as individual customer identities.
External translation and linked services
When enabled, the language selector uses the third-party GTranslate service. Translation providers may process page content and set their own cookies under their policies. Restaurant websites, map providers, reservation services and social platforms are independent websites and handle information under their own policies.
How we use and share information
We use information to maintain and display the restaurant guide, review new restaurant submissions, communicate with applicants, manage approved promotions, respond to inquiries, improve the service and meet applicable obligations. We do not publish private administrator credentials. We may disclose information when required by law or to service providers needed to operate the website.
Retention and your choices
We retain information for as long as needed for the relevant service, legitimate business or legal purpose.
